Historical Football Kits

Scottish Premier League & Scottish Football League 2009 - 2010

The new Scottish season got underway amid considerable controversy and the threat of chaos when Livingston were rescued from extinction and then controversially relegated to the Third Division. SFL rules stipulate that members who go into financial administration will be relegated to the lowest tier (it is unclear what will happen if a Third Division club goes into administration) and this was enforced despite the SFL making public statements earlier that Livingston would continue to play in the First Division. As a result, relegated Airdrie United won a reprieve and returned to the First Division, while Cowdenbeath found themselves promoted to Division Two. Had Livingston won their appeals to the SFL or the Scottish FA, these three clubs would have returned to their original levels, causing chaos.

Part way through the season, Bukta lost three of its four contracts with Scottish clubs following complaints over late delivery of replica kits and poor quality. The SFL gave permission to the clubs involved to change their registered strips in October.
